A stationary area of low pressure is postioned over New England. It will literally sit and spin in the atmosphere for several days. The result will be daily chances for a few passing sprinkles or showers and maybe even a few thundershowers, at times. Skies will be partly to occasionally mostly cloudy and it will remain cooler than average for early June. The average high temperature today is 81 degrees and we will not likely reach that level until Friday when the low pressure center weakens and high pressure returns to our area.
