The heat wave continues across the region today and shows no signs of letting up until perhaps early next week. On this 4th of July expect hot and humid conditions with highs in the mid to upper 90s and heat indices in the 100-105 degree range. Additionally there is a 50% chance of showers and storms today especially during the afternoon hours. We remain hopeful that the showers and storms will wrap up just in time for the fireworks display but for those of you heading out be sure to have a place to take shelter if necessary. Thursday through Friday it is all about the heat with daytime highs in the upper 90s to near 100.
~ Have a good 4th!
