None of the wild tropical rains this evening we saw yesterday in DC. Here is what caused that storm. High pressure to our north and light east winds keep us under partly cloudy skies and "average" July temperatures. This is, on average, the hottest period of the year with the high temperature 89º for the next 2 weeks. By the weekend the temperatures move back into the 90s and with more humidity, more a risk of afternoon thunderstorms. . . .but no 100s ahead. Enjoy that.
