D.C. area weather forecast : Slight Break from Heat
This Afternoon: Sunny, Not quite as hot or humid
Highs: 90-95 | Wind: N 5-10
Overnight: Partly Cloudy and Warm
Lows: 66-72 | Wind: Light
Tuesday: Sunny, Hot, Bit More Humid, Chance PM T'storm
Highs: 90-95 | Rain: 30% Chance PM T'storms
Thousands still without power but with a light northerly breeze the humidity is down a bit as well as the searing heat. In the days ahead temperatures will still be in the low 90s and unfortunately no dramatic break in this hot pattern, but also no sign of any terrible storms such as Friday night. By Wednesday afternoon, the 4th of July, as winds turn into the southwest and high humidity returns, there is the risk of some thunderstorms. These storms should diminish by evening so all the area fireworks displays should be able to go off on time. Later in the week and into the weekend more 90s and heat indexes near 100º Hope everyone's power is back on ASAP
