The heat is building again.  Today the high reached 96° and tomorrow will be close to 100° and with this humidity, the heat index Tuesday will be around 105°  Today our 10th day this July of 95° or higher.  Right now this July is even hotter than July 2011 which was the hottest month in DC weather records.  The heat will be with us through Wednesday but a weak cool front will be close to trigger widespread thunderstorms, some possibly severe late Wednesday.  Later in the week not as hot . . .not really refreshing but sure not as hot as tomorrow will be.
