Another high heat day is in store with temperatures in the upper 90s and heat index values from 100°-105°. There is an isolated chance for a few thunderstorms to spark but most of the afternoon will likely remain dry. Such will be the case Friday and most likely Saturday as high pressure builds in and suppresses cloud cover however, that is when the worst heat will move in with additional heat related advisories/warnings likely for the end of the week. A cold front will bring cooling relief Sunday into Monday with temperatures returning to near average.
