The weather pattern has changed. Instead of having day after day of oppressive humidity and scorching heat, we have settled into a pattern of unsettled conditions featuring cooler temperatures and daily chances of showers. The average high temperature in Washington is now 89 degrees and the daily highs will be just below that for a couple more days. But warmer temperatures will return to the region. Over the weekend, high temperatures will climb back to the 90 degree mark.
Longer term guidance is suggesting temperatures will climb back above average next week. I would like to say there is no chance of temperatures going back to 100 degrees or higher again this summer but I cannot...as much as I would like to say that.
