A stationary front stretches across North Carolina. It separates our area from the extremely hot and humid conditions that exist just south of the front. It will remain stationary through Thursday. The result will be partly sunny skies with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms each day. Our location relative to the front will also keep the high temperatures more seasonal…in the mid to upper 80s.

On Friday, however, the front will start moving northward towards our area as a warm front. This means warmer and more humid air will be returning to the region, as will increasing daily chances for showers and thunderstorms right through the weekend.
