We are continuing to monitor that stationary front stretched across North Carolina. It will move northward as a warm front tomorrow and by the weekend, hot and humid conditions will return to our area. In the meantime, enjoy another comfortable July day with only a slight chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms. The best chances for the rain today will once again be well north and west of Washington.
Clouds will increase tomorrow in advance of the approaching warm front. Temperatures might actually be a couple degrees cooler than today. But starting on Saturday and continuing through most of next week, we will be dealing with high temperatures in the 90s, increased humidity levels and daily chances for afternoon showers and thunderstorms.
