We will see a strong push of hot and humid air across our area today as a cold front approaches from the north. Temperatures will reach the middle 90s under mostly sunny skies. By this afternoon, as the front gets closer, there will be an increase in cloudiness and a good chance for scattered thunderstorms to start firing up. While we do not anticipate widespread storms to affect the area, we do expect any storms that do develop to be quite strong. In fact, the Storm Prediction Center says there is a slight risk of a few severe thunderstorms. Cooler air will arrive overnight. Tomorrow will be beautiful. We are forecasting mostly sunny, cooler and less humid conditions. By Thursday and Friday though, the hot and humid weather will return. High temperatures could reach the upper 90s on Thursday and lower to middle 90s on Friday.
Partly sunny skies with highs in the upper 80s are featured in our 7 day outlook for the weekend. Isolated showers or thunderstorms are possible on Saturday.
