A cold front pushed through overnight, opening the gates for a northwesterly flow of cooler and more comfortable weather- at least temporarily. Today will be delightful as high pressure builds in from the north, providing plenty of sunshine with highs in the upper 80s. The best news is that the dew points—the best measure of moisture in the atmosphere—will be in the 50s Wednesday and that will feel refreshing. Unfortunately, the pleasant weather will be short-lived as the front returns northward as a warm front tonight, bringing back heat, humidity, and the risk of thunderstorms Thursday. Highs will soar to near 100° Thursday with heat indices of 105°-110° so be sure to slow down and stay cool. Friday will also be hot and steamy with highs in the 90s. There will be a better chance of showers and storms Friday afternoon and evening as a strong cold front plows through the area. Behind that front, conditions will be slightly cooler for the weekend with highs near 90°. Have a great day!
