Wednesday: Partly Cloudy, Hot and Humid, PM Storms

The heat is on once again but only for a couple more days. High pressure to the west and low pressure to the east have combined to give us hot and humid conditions with pop up showers and thunderstorms. By tomorrow, the high pressure will be more dominant and will force westerly winds across the area. This will provide plenty of sunshine but will also drive temperatures close to 100 degrees.
By Wednesday, a cold front will be slowly advancing towards our area. It will be hot…with highs in the upper 90s…and it will be humid. Thunderstorm chances will increase through the late afternoon and evening. The front will slow-poke its way across the region on Thursday with a continuing 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs will still approach the 90 degrees mark. Cooler and less humid air will arrive on Friday and persist through Saturday. It will be a bit warmer and a bit more humid by Sunday.
