D.C. weather forecast: Hot and humid week ahead, storms likely

Quiet, warm and humid conditions overnight will give way to a hotter Monday.

Overnight: Mostly Cloudy

Lows: 68°-74° | Wind: South 3-8 mph

Monday: Partly Cloudy, PM Storms Likely

Highs: 91°-96° | Wind: Southwest 5-10 mph

Tuesday: Partly Cloudy, Thunderstorms

Highs: 90°-95° | Wind: West 10-15 mph

Skies will turn partly cloudy overnight as temperatures fall into the upper 60s to middle 70s. Monday will bring a noticeable temperature jump with afternoon highs in the lower to middle 90s and heat index readings approaching 100 degrees.

A  few strong to severe thunderstorms may develop during the late afternoon and evening hours. A cold front arrives Tuesday bringing yet another round of storms.
