Showers and thunderstorms will diminish during the overnight hours and temperatures settle in the upper 60s to middle 70s. A warm front will lift well to the north of the D.C. area on Sunday bringing a more uncomfortable feel outside. Highs will rebound into the lower 90s along with scattered thunderstorms.
Another round of heat and humidity arrives Monday and lasting into midweek. Afternoon highs will jump to the middle to upper 90s with heat index readings approaching 100 degrees.
