The chances of daily showers or thunderstorms break down like this. Isolated thunderstorms south of Washington today, a 20% chance area-wide tomorrow and a 30% chance on Thursday. On Friday, a cold will approach the area. Cloudy skies will develop by afternoon and chances for more widespread showers and thunderstorms will increase. There is a chance some of these storms could be severe.
