It's going to be another one of those hazy, warm and humid days with just a chance of a few isolated heavy showers or thunderstorms. Some of the cells will be so small we will have to keep zooming in on the radar screen in order to see them. That was the case yesterday afternoon when a small but intense cell produced a waterspout over the Patuxent River just west of the Calvert County coastline. More showers and thunderstorms are possible tomorrow afternoon. And on Friday, showers and thunderstorms still appear likely. These storms will be produced as a strong cold front crosses the area. Some of the these storms will be very strong and a few may become severe.
A few showers could linger into Saturday morning, but improving conditions...clearing and cooler weather...are expected on Saturday afternoon and Sunday.
