A spectacular day is upon us with sunshine, low humidity and highs near 90°. Yes, 90° is above average but it will be a dry heat - so it won't be uncomfortable. On Friday however, humidity levels will increase. Skies will be partly sunny with added humidity as temperatures will climb into the low and middle 90s. Late Friday afternoon and evening, a strong cold front will approach. This will give us our best opportunity of more widespread showers and thunderstorms than we have seen in quite a while.

The front will pass south of area over the weekend and remain stationary through the beginning of next week. This will tend to keep daytime temperatures a bit below average. But, it might also set the stage for added cloud cover and passing weekend showers, especially south and east of the metropolitan area. No washout - but just a bit unsettled. At least it will be cool. Have a great day!
