Most areas will be cloudy and muggy overnight with lows in the 70s. South to southwesterly winds will create partly cloudy, hot and humid conditions throughout the region with highs in the lower 90s and chances for afternoon thunderstorms tomorrow and Thursday.

The probability of those storms will be higher tomorrow than today…higher still on Thursday and finally become likely on Friday. During the day Friday, an area of low pressure and its attendant cold front will cross the area supporting the development of numerous showers and thunderstorms. Some of these will be strong to severe. Cooler air will return for the weekend.
