A few isolated storms will continue to affect the D.C. area this evening and tonight. Otherwise it will be warm and muggy with temperatures falling from the 90s back into the 80s and 70s overnight. Saturday will see a chance for a few isolated thunderstorms. For the majority of the day though there will be partly cloudy skies and continued hot temperatures in the lower 90s.
Sunday will bring with it a cold front in the afternoon and evening hours. It appears at this time a few severe thunderstorms may be possible with damaging wind gusts as the primary threat. We will continue to keep an eye on this developing system and update you as needed this weekend.
