Low pressure that brought areas of heavy rain and strong thunderstorms Sunday afternoon will ease during the overnight hours. A few showers will linger into the early morning hours as temperatures fall into the 60s and 70s. Monday will bring increased amounts of sun later in the day as a cold front approaches from the northwest. The front is not expected to bring much moisture, but a few showers and isolated thunderstorms are not out of the question.
High pressure builds Wednesday and Thursday. Some computer models have remnants of Isaac moving across the mid-Atlantic later in the week. Much can and likely will change as the forecast models are refined.
