The first two days of August have been hot with highs in the 90s both days. A few storms developed East of the metro earlier during the afternoon, but have all diminished. Mostly clear overnight with sunshine to start the day on Friday. A few more pop up storms are possible late tomorrow afternoon, but nothing widespread.
The weekend will be hot and humid with highs, both days, near 90 degrees. A few late day storms will be possible both Saturday and Sunday, but a slightly greater risk late Sunday ahead of our next cool front. Keep in mind, some storms could be severe.
