D.C. Weather Forecast: Dry Thursday, More Storms By Friday
Overnight: Gradual Clearing, Comfortable
Lows: 60s to near 70 | Wind: NW 5 m.p.h.
Thursday: Mostly Sunny and Hot
Highs: Around 90 | Wind: NW 5-10 m.p.h.
Friday: Partly Cloudy, PM Storms
Highs: Near 90 | Precipitation: 40% PM
Skies will gradually clear tonight and drier air will move in. Tomorrow will be sunny and hot, but much less humid.
On Friday however, humidity levels will increase. Skies will be partly sunny and temperatures will again approach 90 degrees. Later Friday afternoon and evening, a strong cold front will approach. This will give us our best opportunity of more widespread showers and thunderstorms than we have seen in quite a while.
The front will pass south of area over the weekend and remain stationary through the beginning of next week. This will tend to keep daytime temperatures a bit below average. But it might also set the stage for isolated weekend showers especially south and east of the metropolitan area.
