High pressure is responsible for the beautiful day we have enjoyed across the region. Skies will remain mostly clear tonight with lows mostly in the 50s; although, there will be a few upper 40s well north and west of Washington. A repeat performance is on tap tomorrow with slightly warmer afternoon temperatures.
On Saturday, temperatures will climb into the middle 80s under partly cloudy skies. By Saturday evening, a cold front will be crossing the Appalachians and will likely trigger scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. A new area of high pressure will start building back into the area on Sunday with much cooler temperatures. Beautiful autumn weather is in our extended forecast for Sunday afternoon, Monday and Tuesday.
