More warnings have been posted and lightning will now be close to D.C. for the next two hours.

Overnight: Evening thunderstorms vivid lightning then cloudy and mild

Lows: 62-68 | Wind: SW-NW 5-10

Friday: Partly Cloudy, Showers Likely

Highs: Near 80 | Rain: 40% Chance Mainly Morning

This Weekend: Partly Cloudy, Cooler but little chance rain

Highs: Sat. 75° only Near 70° Sunday | Winds: N 5-10 mph

The line of storms which has been to the west of DC is now moving through.  Quite a bit of vivid lightning and thunder but now widespread wind damage.  This will lead to a quieter weather pattern into the weekend.

The front will settle across us tomorrow with more showers possible.  Right now the signs are the front will continue to move south so that's the reason Saturday and Sunday look drier than yesterday.  But also cooler air in on us so Sunday temperatures may not reach 70°  Keep an eye on live Doppler this evening.
