The end of the work week will be beautiful with mostly sunny skies and warmer temperatures around 80 degrees. Tonight, lows will be mild in the 50s in the suburbs to lower 60s in town under partly cloudy skies. A cold front will push into the D.C. area tomorrow, bringing with it a chance for showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening. There appears to be enough strength in the wind field aloft to allow for a few strong storms with damaging winds. Highs should reach the mid 80s ahead of the front. Sunday will be cooler as the front passes east with highs in the lower 70s under partly cloudy skies. Looking ahead to next week, Monday and Tuesday will continue to be cool with highs in the low to mid 70s.
