D.C. Weather Forecast: T-Showers coming to an end

A cold front continues to push to the southeast and showers will dissipate along it later this evening into tonight.

Tonight: Partly Cloudy, Patchy Fog

Lows: 60s to Low 70s | Wind: Light

Thursday: Partly Cloudy, Hot and Humid

Highs: Low 90s | Wind: S 4-8 m.p.h.

Friday: Partly Cloudy, Hot and Humid

Highs: Low 90s | Wind: S 4-8 m.p.h.

A cold front will be crossing the area during the next few hours. It has already caused and is causing thunderstorms and heavy downpours mainly south and east of Washington. These showers will end tonight. An isolated thunderstorm is possible tomorrow west of Washington. Otherwise, tomorrow and Friday will be partly sunny and hot with highs around 90 degrees or even a bit higher. An area of low pressure and an associated cold front will cross the area on Saturday producing more showers and thunderstorms. Clearing, drier and cooler weather will develop on Sunday afternoon and continue into early next week.

Leslie has become a hurricane with top winds around 75 mph. It is located about 450 miles SSE of Bermuda. Leslie is expected to strengthen over the next few days and may pose a serious threat to Bermuda over the weekend…IF it stays on the current expected track.
