The storm system that has been passing west of our region is on the way out of the picture. It has been interesting that most of the rain with this system has been along and west of the I 95 corridor. Areas south and east of there…with only a couple of exceptions… has been very light. Only isolated showers are expected for the remainder of the late afternoon and evening. A few heavier showers will persist across extreme southern Maryland. Drizzle and fog will be likely tonight. And by late night and early morning, the fog could be widespread and very dense. Morning fog will lift into fair weather cumulus clouds tomorrow and it will turn into a rather summery day with highs in the middle 80s. Partly to mostly sunny skies highlight our Thursday and Friday forecast with highs, both days, around 80 degrees.
