Get ready for a shot of colder air overnight. A freeze warning is issued for late Friday night into early Saturday for areas north and west of D.C.
Today: Few AM Clouds, Becoming Sunny, Breezy & Cool
Wind: NW 10-20+ mph
Overnight: Clear & Very Cold, FREEZE WARNING
Wind: N 3-8
Tomorrow: Mostly Sunny, Continued Cool
Wind: S 5-10 mph
Sunny and breezy conditions remain for the rest of the afternoon hours. Highs will be in the middle 60s. Under a starry sky, temperatures will dip into the low-mid 30s in the metro area with 20s expected in the northern and western suburbs. That's why the National Weather Service has posted a Freeze Warning for late Friday Night into early Saturday for communities north and west of Washington, D.C.
Despite the chilly start on Saturday, we will see abundant sunshine thanks to high pressure overhead. Temperatures will recover into the low 60s by afternoon. As the high pressure cell slides eastward, our winds will become southerly, bringing milder air into the region for the second half of the weekend. Highs should be in the 70s by Sunday afternoon. The mild weather will continue into Monday although an approaching cold front will bring the chance of a few needed showers.
Have a great weekend and go Nats! (Check out Adam Caskey’s hour by hour outlook for tonight’s game, HERE!)
