The center of high pressure that provided the beautiful fall weather yesterday will continue to move east and off the coast today. This will allow for the flow of southerly winds across the area, create partly cloudy sky and push temperatures to or above the 70 degree mark. Computer models support a 60% probability of scattered showers this evening with the chance of isolated thunderstorms. (In fact the Storm Prediction Center has our area under a slight risk for severe weather late.) As the fronts crosses the area, chances of showers will linger overnight into the pre-dawn hours of Friday.
After that, another area of higher pressure will move in resulting in another partly cloudy and mild day on Friday with highs into the 70s. Partly to mostly sunny weather will return for the weekend. Temperatures will be more autumnal with highs in the 60s on both Saturday and Sunday. Have a great day!
