D.C. weather forecast: Great Orionid Meteor Shower viewing conditions overnight

Keep your eye to the sky overnight and early Sunday morning. If you are lucky, you may see a meteor shower!

Overnight: Mainly Clear and Cool

Lows: 38°- 50° | Wind: Northwest 3-8 mph

Sunday: Mostly Sunny and Breezy

Highs: 63°- 68° | Wind: Northwest 10-15 mph

Monday: Mostly Sunny and Beautiful

Highs: 70°- 75°

With an area of high pressure building overhead, skies will clear for the overnight hours as temperatures fall into to the 40s in the mountains to near 50 closer toward the District. Look for a sunny Sunday with highs in the middle 60s. A change in wind direction will usher milder air into the region Monday. Highs will jump into the 70s with fine weather extending into much of the upcoming work and school week. Parts of central Virginia may flirt with the 80 degree mark by midweek.
