High pressure remains in control of the weather pattern with sunny and mild days and clear and cool nights. Highs will approach 70 degrees tomorrow and may reach the lower 70s on Thursday. During the day on Thursday, along with the warm temperatures will be an increase of south to southwesterly winds. These increasingly gusty breezes will be developing ahead of the next cold front. This sets the stage for scattered showers on Thursday afternoon and evening. The chance of scattered showers will continue into Friday morning. But during the day, drier air will return with partly cloudy skies. The air temperature will only slightly and temporarily drop behind this next cold front. In fact, looking ahead to Sunday and Monday we expect high temperatures will return to the 70s.
