Showers and thunderstorms ending then improving weather throughout the day

Today: Showers ending becoming partly cloudy.

Highs: Upper 60s to lower 70s | Wind: South 10 mph

Saturday: Partly cloudy and more seasonable.

Highs: Mid 60s | Wind: W5-10 mph.

Sunday: Mostly sunny and pleasant

Highs: Mid to upper 60s | Wind: NW 10 mph

The showers and isolated heavy thunderstorms that have lingered  this morning will continue to move east towards the Eastern Shore. At the same time, drier air is working in from the west. This is a process and it will take a while for skies to clear. Limited sunshine will develop later this morning. More sunshine will develop through the afternoon. High temperatures will reach the lower 70s. Partly cloudy skies are forecast tonight and for the day tomorrow. High temperatures will be more seasonable tomorrow...in the middle 60s. On Sunday, skies will be mostly sunny and temperatures will reach the upper 60s.

Looking ahead to next week...mostly sunny skies with highs in the lower 70s are likely on Monday. Model guidance is suggesting the above average temperature pattern will continue next week with daily high temperatures in the 70s through at least Thursday.
