A warm front is slowly moving northward through the metro area but is rather weak and diffuse. No rain is being observed along the front and none is expected. The front is expected to wash out and we will remain under the influence of general area of higher pressure throughout the mid-Atlantic. It will remain warm for a couple more days, also remaining a bit humid tomorrow. But on Friday, humidity levels will drop making for a sunny and comfortably warm day.
On Saturday, skies will be partly sunny and highs will reach into the upper 70s. By late afternoon and evening, a cold front will approach the area and scattered showers may develop. Behind the front on Sunday, we will forget about the warm temperatures for a while. In fact, it will be rather chilly on Sunday with mainly cloudy skies and a chance of periods of light rain. High temperatures will only approach the 60 degree mark on Sunday afternoon. Fall weather returns
