Improving weather conditions as we get closer to Thanksgiving

Today: Cloudy this morning, some sunshine this afternoon
Highs: 52°-57°
Wind: NE 2-5 mph

Overnight: Partly cloudy and chilly
Lows: 33°-43°
Wind: N 5 mph

Wednesday: Mostly sunny and milder
Highs: 55°-60°
Wind: N 5-10 mph

Another cloudy start but for different reasons. The bottom line...skies will brighten during the day and many areas will become partly sunny at times. Skies will gradually clear tonight and temperatures will fall into the lower 30s in normally colder regions and remain in the 40s in Washington. Mostly sunny skies will be widepread tomorrow across the entire mid Atlantic region. Local high temperatures will approach 60 degrees. Travel weather, nationally, will be good to excellent tomorrow. One exception will be the Pacific Northwest where rain, wind and higher elevation snow may impact travel.

Thanksgiving Day will be beautiful with mostly sunny skies and highs around 60 degrees. On Friday, partly cloudy skies are forecast with a repeat high temperature of 60 degrees. By Friday evening, as a strong cold front nears, more clouds will arrive along with gusty winds. Much chillier air will arrive for the weekend with partly cloudy skies. High temperatures will only be in the 40s on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
