D.C. Area Weather Forecast: Weekend sunshine still cool
Overnight: Partial Clearing and Chilly
Lows: 33-38 | Wind: W-NW 10-15 mph
Saturday: Mostly Sunny, Breezy and Chilly
Highs: 52-57 | Wind: W-NW 10-20
Sunday: Sunshine and High Clouds
Highs: Near 55 | Wind: NW 10 mph
The unstable chilly air is still over us and is the reason we've had some sun today but then another period of cloudiness. Overnight the final little wave will move off and Saturday will sure have more sun than today. In this great satellite picture you can still see plenty of snow on the ground of West Virginia from Sandy.
There is all sorts of chatter and concern about another storm next Wednesday to Thursday. While a storm will likely form to our south, it will be nothing like Sandy. Here is the European weather model which did a good job giving us an advance look at Sandy's track.
Right now it shows quite a bit of uncertainty of a storm off the coast but NO HINT that anything that does form will bring strong winds, although it is likely to be breezy and chilly in New Jersey and New York next Wednesday to Thursday
