After a year of dramatic weather events, including late October's Hurricane Sandy, November has been quite chilly, but not all that different day-to-day. After nine successive days of below average temperatures earlier in the month, we are yet again in a pattern of similarly chilly days - the past four days have been almost identical with cooler than normal, low 50s readings. The coming week looks to offer few surprises - a good thing with so much holiday travel planned - with partly to mostly cloudy days and highs in the 50s.
Thanksgiving and Black Friday promise more sunshine however and highs around 60 (the hottest Thanksgiving, incidentally, was 77 degrees back in 2007, while the coldest was an icy 30 degree day back in 1930).
The week should also be mostly precipitation-free, continuing the pattern this month of dry days; the 0.50 inches of rain last Wednesday has been the only significant rain all month.
Look for filtered sunshine through cloudier skies today and highs in the low 50s. Enjoy your Sunday!
