A cold front stretching from northwestern Quebec province in Canada to the Gulf of Mexico is moving steadily eastward. It will cross the Appalachians later this evening and pass through the I-95 corridor early tomorrow morning. Scattered showers will precede and accompany the front and much cooler air will follow frontal passage. Showers will end tomorrow morning. It will become breezy as winds switch to the northwest. Temperatures will be in the lower 50s in the morning but fall into the 40s during the day. Skies will gradually clear, as well.
High pressure will control the local weather pattern from late Tuesday through Friday and perhaps straight through this upcoming weekend. Look for partly to mostly sunny skies along with seasonably cool temperatures.
