Bargain shoppers beware: cold temperatures are in the forecast tonight and early tomorrow morning. Look for a rapid warm-up ahead of a cold front late Friday as temperatures rebound to near 60 degrees. A few sprinkles will be possible Friday evening as the front moves by between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. Winds will switch to the northwest allowing for gusts up to 30 miles per hour.
Saturday will be windy and cold along with a chance for a few flurries around the Shenandoah Valley. Accumulating snow is likely around the Potomac Highlands courtesy of the lake-effect machine. The weekend will end with sunshine and lighter wind on Sunday.
