A strong area of high pressure has created an absolutely beautiful day across the area. This weather system will shift slowly eastward for the next couple days. It will maintain our mostly sunny skies but its eastward shift will force winds to turn to the south and southwest. This will cause daytime temperatures to rise through the 60s over the weekend.
By Monday, clouds will start to increase in advance of the next area of low pressure and its attendant cold front. Temperatures will remain very mild on Monday with highs returning to the upper 60s. On Tuesday, the cold will approach the region with cloudy skies and a good chance of showers. High pressure will return for the middle and end of next week with clearing skies and more seasonable temperatures.
