A very strong cold front is stretching from the Great Lakes to the Gulf Coast and will bring a dramatic drop in our temperatures for the rest of the week. Today will be the last mild day in a while. Winds ahead of the front are from the south and pumping in warm, moist air to the DC area today. Check out the dramatic diffence in forecast temperatures this afternoon. Clouds will gradually increase this afternoon as the front approaches and will become cloudy by this evening. Rain should hold off until tonight. Up to a half of an inch of rain can be expected tonight through late Tuesday morning. Skies will clear behind the front Tuesday afternoon and breezy, cool conditions will prevail. Temperatures will stay cool this week in the 50s for highs.
