A cloudy start to what will turn out to be a very pleasant weather pattern
Wind: NE 5-10 mph
Overnight: Mostly cloudy skies
Wind: NE 3-6 mph
Tomorrow: Partly sunny
Wind: NE 8-12 mph
Cloudy skies around the area this morning are being generated by an area of low pressure off the North Carolina coast and an area of high pressure over northern New England. Rain associated with the coastal low is limited and will remain far from our area. But the cloudy skies may stay with us for a good part of the day. There is a chance the skies will brighten and become partly sunny this afternoon. Over the next few days, we will see more sunshine and less cloud cover. There will also be a modest warming trend until a strong cold front approaches late on Friday.
Tomorrow will be partly sunny with highs in the middle 50s. The big travel day on Wednesday will not be hampered by bad weather. It will be partly cloudy with highs in the upper 50s. Thanksgiving Day is looking mostly sunny with highs near 60 degrees, And on Friday, just ahead of the cold front, it will be partly cloudy and warmer with highs reaching the lower 60s.
