D.C. Weather Forecast: Mild weather lingers, but clouds increase with rain by Tuesday

The morning sunshine will give way to increasing cloudiness today as a cold front marches eastward from the midwest. This is a strong cold front. Huge temperature drops have been experienced after frontal passage in the western Great Lakes and Upper Midwest. The air mass will modify a bit before it arrives but we too, will see significant temperature changes.Showers associated with the front will arrive late tonight and continue overnight. The showers will end tomorrow morning. It will become breezy during the day with some clearing. High temperatures tomorrow will occur during the morning hours.
High pressure will start building back into the region tomorrow afternoon. We are forecasting plenty of sunshine and seasonably cool weather for the rest of the week.
