A few areas of light rain greeted early risers in parts of Southern Maryland and the Northern Neck. As that weather disturbance moves off shore, the trailing cloud cover will follow suit. And skies will gradually clear from west to east across the area today. High pressure will provide a mostly sunny day tomorrow along with temperatures just a few degrees below normal.
On Sunday, as the much-heralded coastal storm moves adjacent the mid Atlantic coast, it appears all we will see from it are more clouds. This is because the storm center will be far enough off shore to do little else. Sunshine will return on Monday...in fact, we could see some sunshine even on Sunday west of the Chesapeake Bay. Weather conditions look dry and quiet leading up to Thanksgiving. We are forecasting partly sunny skies on Tuesday and on the big travel day, next Wednesday. Our current outlook for Thanksgiving Day is for partly to mostly sunny skies with highs approaching 60 degrees.
