What a great day! Sunshine, frosty temperatures and bright blue skies. We will hang onto the sunshine for most of the day but some high cloudiness will approach later today and skies will become mostly cloudy later tonight. This will be in response to the latest Nor'easter that will be developing off the Carolina Coast.. The storm will rapidly intensify BUT it will develop just far enough off shore to give our area only a glancing blow. We could see some periods of rain and snow tomorrow and tomorrow night. Winds will be a bit gusty but no wind advisories are anticipated west of the Chesapeake Bay.On the Eastern Shore and along the coast, it will be a completely different story. Heavy rain and high winds will be developing and those nasty conditions will spread northward along the coast. And inland snow may accumulate north of our region. Skies will begin clearing Thursday and we are still expecting sunshine and a significant warming trend through the weekend.
NOTE: This will be a powerful Nor'easter. So any change in it's projected path or intensity could mean significant changes in our forecast but that is not expected to happen.
