Showers will continue this morning as a dynamic cold front crosses the area. Skies should brighten around noon with breezy and cooler conditions this afternoon. In fact, the high temperature today will likely be reached this morning with falling temperatures this afternoon and tonight. The next few days will be just fine. A bit chilly perhaps but bright and sunny. We expect skies to remain partly cloudy into Saturday with temperatures remaining a few degrees below average.
On Sunday and Monday, computer models are suggesting another area of low pressure may develop along the mid-Atlantic coast. If this does happen, then more rain is likely to develop later Sunday and last into Monday. This potential system is not expected to even form for another 5 days, so our confidence is rather low at this point. But we will monitor developments and keep you well informed. In the meantime, enjoy the upcoming stretch of fine, fall weather.
