There maybe an unseasonable chill in the air this November and Christmas carols may be playing on the radio already, but it is still fall! Yes, the average monthly temperature is currently 48 degrees, a full four degrees below normal. But the prospect of milder air for Thanksgiving will hearten those for whom winter seems to be coming far too soon.
High pressure will provide us with a pleasant start to the weekend with sunny skies, highs in the low 50s and light northerly winds The benign weather pattern will continue on Sunday, although a coastal low will bring more clouds to the region. Highs on Sunday will again be in the low 50s, which is well below the seasonal norm of 57. An easterly flow early next week will keep mostly cloudy skies in the area, but temperatures will start to rebound by midweek. Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday will seem quite balmy with highs both days near 60. Travel weather for the holiday and the days leading up to it should be mostly dry - save for some drizzle - and storm-free.
