Winter Weather Advisory well north and west of Washington
Today: Some a.m. sunshine before more clouds return
High: 40° | Wind: NW 5-10 MPH
Tonight: Cloudy and cold with snowing developing before dawn
Low: Near 32° | Wind: NW 5-10 MPH
Tomorrow: Snow ...may mix/change to rain south and east of D.C.
High: Near 37° | Wind: NE 5-10 MPH
Another chance of snow is in the works as high pressure moves out of the area and the next weather disturbance moves in. The air will be cold enough for most areas to begin as snow before sunrise tomorrow. In fact, there could be a light coating of snow on the ground by that time. Through the day, snow will continue north and west of Washington but may mix with or change to rain in the District and areas to the south and east. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect along the MD/PA border counties and through the highlands and mountains along and west of the I-81 corridor.
Snow may accumulate an inch or two across parts of the metro area. Less snow will accumulate south and east as a mix or changeover to rain is possible. In areas that remain all snow...areas under the Advisories...2 to 4 inches of snow is likely.
Clearing, breezy and cold weather is forecast for Sunday. Dress warmly if you are going to Fedex to see the Redskins on Sunday night. Game time temperatures in the lower 30s with wind chills in the 20s.
