The latest batch of light rain is moving just east of DC. Some spots in southern Maryland and Fredricksburg have had 1/2" of rain while only a few hundreds fell on DCA . Our rain for the year almost 8" below average and look at the severe drought that continues across so much of the county.

- Finally a change in this dry pattern with another weather front slowly moving through Sunday that brings us the chance of our first significant rain in over amonth Sunday night into Mondayrain. There may be a few showers during the Redskins game Sunday and it will be chilly so bundle up. Some spots may get close to an inch of rain by Tuesday. In the meantime a 50-50 weekend with sunshine Saturday afternoon and the clouds and cooler air back Sunday.
