After all the mild December days to start the month, today colder than average with high of only 44°.    While we have been mild so far this December, look at Moscow after their biggest November-December snowstorm in 50 years left almost a foot of snow in Red Square early this week

There is the spot for a "White Christmas"  This weekend a Midwest storm will finally bring some needed moisture to the drought plagued areas of the country and some of that rain will come over us later on Sunday into Monday, but not as much as we need and not as much as seemed possible yesterday.
