Text size Decrease Increase

This Afternoon: Cloudy & Chilly

Highs: 34-38 | Precipitation: Light Accumulation

Tonight: Partly Cloudy, Cold, Breezy

Lows: 22-32 | Wind: NW 10-15+

Sunday: Partly Sunny, Cold, Windy

Highs: 34-39 | Wind: NW 15-20+

The mix of rain and light snow is ending across the Washington area with little to no accumulation.  However areas to the north and west remain under a Winter Weather Advisory and could see one to two inches of snow through the afternoon hours.  The Advisory includes the counties of Montgomery, Howard, and Loudoun and extends through 6 PM.

In the wake of today's fast-moving storm system, easterly winds will be replaced with strong northwesterly gusts that will make for a breezy overnight and then a blustery Sunday.

While daytime highs today and tomorrow will be in the mid to upper 30s, Sunday will feel significantly colder;  the 15 to 20 mph winds with higher gusts will produce wind chills in the 20s.  And while those winds will diminish some by game time at FedEx tomorrow evening, the winds behind the Redskins' championship run will still be at gale force!
